History

Established in 1979, Polyrit Cooperative Agricultural Association initially focused on producing shoe soles. In its formative years, the company crafted numerous of shoe sole variations, aligning with prevailing fashion trends by utilizing molds crafted in-house.

As polyurethane (PU) emerged as a prime material for shoe soles, shoe manufacturers embraced its efficacy, prompting Polyrit to explore broader applications for this versatile substance. Over time, the company transitioned its focus entirely to pioneering new polyurethane-based products.

In the 1990s, Polyrit diversified into manufacturing PU parts for office furniture, and in the early 21st century it expanded into crafting components for heavy-duty vehicles, including backrests and seat handles. Among others, Polyrit supplied internal and external parts for leading heavy truck manufacturer Freightliner, now a division of Daimler.

In 1999, Polyrit earned recognition as an approved supplier for the GE Group, a testament to its commitment to excellence and quality.

In recent years, Polyrit has ventured into offering innovative seating solutions for passenger trains, providing products to industry leaders such as Siemens, Alstom Bombardier, and the Israel Railway Company.

Located in Kibbutz Zikim in southern Israel for the past four decades, Polyrit is deeply rooted in its community, employing numerous kibbutz members alongside individuals from neighboring towns such as Ashkelon and Sderot.

Today, Polyrit stands as an expert in polyurethane-based products, offering tailored solutions that blend polyurethane with other materials across diverse industries in Israel and beyond. Our team is committed to ongoing research and exploration, continuously seeking out the latest advancements and breakthroughs in polyurethane technology.
